It’s been a nuts-o week around here . . . a “show” in Joliet last week, catching up on some orders, and two very sick babies!  Ugggg.  Anyone feeling my pain with sick kids?   It’s been lots of nights of little sleep around here.  Oh and our littlest has been happily showing off his TWO teeth for months now and this week is cutting four more.  Lovely timing, just lovely.  :)  Thankful for the springy weather we are having this week, though – felt good to open some windows and get some fresh air in here!  Tobin came home from school today and said that “everyone is wearing shorts tomorrow and can I?  please, please, please?”

So what in the world is going on?  What happened to Embellish?  I am so glad you asked.  :)

As most of you know, this all began for me on the couch (yes, literally) on bed-rest with our 3rd little peanut (you can read my entire story here).  It all began with ribbons and simple flowers and glue and well . . . here we are.  While I still loved the items I began creating, I began to realize that the products I eventually was making were even more different and unique.  Doors began opening for me (more on that later)  and it was then that I knew that some changes needed to take place.  The change has already been both refreshing and challenging.  Excited for the adventures ahead.  Welcome Wren & Ribbon!

What is going to be different about Wren & Ribbon vs. Embellish?  Greater emphasis on unique!  Here are just a few changes you’ll notice right off the bat:

• Hand-dying.  Yes, my hands have been covered in dye lately and it’s been awesome!  Many of my products and materials will now be hand-dyed by me.  I’ve already been playing and trust me, the results are fab.
• Crystal.  Crystal embellishments will be making more and more of an appearance.  Yay for gorgeous bling!
• Limited edition.  This is something I am so stoked about at Wren & Ribbon.  I have recently gotten my hands on some really really fabulous embellishments.  You’ll find these on clips, bobby pins and headbands.  They are just gorgeous, but soooo limited edition.  I may only be able to get my hands on 1 of a particular style.  Sometimes I may be able to score 3-4, but more often than not, it’s only 1 or 2.  Unique!  Be sure to check back often for the latest finds.  Seriously fab.
• Velvet.  If you purchase a product attached to a clip, you’ll now find that it’s lined with luxurious velvet . . . mmmmm.

Have you had a few moments to look around our site?  Isn’t it amazing?  Thanks to two awesome web design guys (who put up with me changing my mind about a billion times . . . ahem).  One of the many new features of Wren & Ribbon is our shop!  Yay!!!  ALL orders can now be placed through our shop.  You must play with the drag & drop feature – awesome!  <<grin>>  It’s sleek, easy and well, just plain cool.  I’m working like mad to get it populated and up-to-date, so keep checking back.  It’s not all there yet.
